Our first week of school was a great success! Many thanks to you for helping your child enter independently and on time every morning. As the construction continues, we appreciate your patience as the arrival and dismissal times may be slower than usual. If there are any questions in regards to arrival and dismissal, please send me a message by Bloomz or at [email protected]
Our new teachers, (Ms. West and Ms. Damaris), seemed to have as much fun as the children did in trying to remember everyone's name, the placement for each material, and the general classroom routine. In order to learn more about classroom expectations and routine, be sure to come to the Open House on September 13th at 6:00 PM.
Monday's solar eclipse allowed for a quick discussion of the solar system and the revolutions of the moons vs. the revolutions of the planets. We further explored Earth's revolutions when we honored Ms. West on her birthday this past Thursday. During this celebration we learned more about Ms. West's life and the children shared wishes for her in the coming year.
In the next few weeks we will reinforce our classroom ground rules as we learn more about each individual friend. We will look closely at the human body and hopefully learn more about other planets and parts of our solar system.
Thank you again for your support and patience! I'm looking forward to a wonderful new school year.
All the best, Ms. Joanna Boone
