In the past few weeks we have enjoyed hearing Australian songs, Mem Fox books, and didgeridoo music. We will continue hearing more about Oceania this week and change our final continent study of the year to Europe. On Friday we acted out "Waltzing Matilda" with a few props and some great actors. We look forward to acting more in this final month of school.
Our Mother's Day breakfast is set for Friday May 12th at 8:45 and Father's Day lunch is set for Friday May 26th at 12:00. If you are not able to attend either event, please send a friend or family member in your honor.
Next week is teacher appreciation week. The following items may be shared:
Monday - a flower
Tuesday - scratch-off ticket
Wednesday - a letter, (you may write a letter dictated by the child)
Thursday - Office supplies, (hint, we use a lot of pencil sharpeners, electrical tape, and packaging tape)
Friday - Gift card day
Of course, the item that we most appreciate is the child. Without this, our days would lack joy, discovery, adventure, and purpose. Thank you for sharing this wonderful gift with us every school year.
With love,
Ms. Boone, Ms. Ramos, and Ms. Jane
